Sherril Cheevers
Sherril Cheevers is a mother to two young adults, Jonathon (24) and Julianna (22). In 2018, she confronted a challenging diagnosis of breast cancer, leading to two unsuccessful lumpectomies and ultimately a double mastectomy. Following 18 months of hormone therapy, Sherril experienced a recurrence that necessitated aggressive treatment. Her resilience shone through 19 months of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and targeted therapy. Today, she stands as a testament to recovery and has channeled her experience into helping others as a holistic cancer coach.
As an employee at Saxena White P.A., Sherril serves as the Health and Wellness coordinator and actively participates in the Institutional Outreach group. Engaging in conferences, events, and the annual "Spread Betty's Smile" golf tournament, she raises funds to support families facing difficult times, honoring her late mother who succumbed to pancreatic cancer in 2019. Sherril is also a dedicated member of Saxena White's diversity and social responsibility committee.
Recognizing the rising incidence of cancer among young adults, Sherril is passionate about promoting prevention and early intervention through thermography. Her multifaceted involvement in health advocacy and community support reflects her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those affected by cancer.
Rosemary Young
With over thirty years of dedicated service as a Registered Nurse, Rosemary Young has amassed a wealth of experience in various healthcare roles. Armed with a Bachelor's of Science in nursing, her journey has encompassed diverse fields such as Medical/Surgical, Orthopedic, Oncology, VNA, Pediatric Home Care Nursing, and even Nurse Management.
In the last 13 years, Rosemary has directed her focus towards Community Health nursing, holding a significant position as a School Nurse. Notably, during the challenging COVID-19 Pandemic, Rosemary emerged as a frontline hero, collaborating with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Her contributions ranged from conducting crucial contact tracing to educating the community and actively participating in the setup of vaccine clinics, where she administered thousands of vaccines. Her commitment to making a difference seamlessly integrated with her passion for helping others.
Beyond her professional achievements, Rosemary takes pride in being a loving mother to two beautiful young adults, Megan (25) and Matt (24). Outside the realm of healthcare, she finds joy in spending quality time with her family and friends, fostering her love for travel and exploration.
Health and wellness hold a paramount place in Rosemary's life, extending not only to herself but also to her family. Her fervor for helping others lead healthier lives has become an integral part of her career. Looking forward, she aspires to broaden her teachings of health, wellness, and prevention into the innovative realm of Thermography, further solidifying her commitment to the well-being of others.
Julianna DeBonis
Julianna DeBonis, a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in May 2023, holds a double major in Psychology and Health Studies. Currently serving as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital, Julianna's professional journey includes prior experience as a Mental Health Counselor at Walden Behavioral Care while pursuing her education.
Driven by a deep-seated passion for health and nutrition, Julianna is committed to the idea of food as medicine. Motivated by personal experiences watching her parents battle cancer, she places a strong emphasis on early cancer screening. Julianna aspires to empower young adults who may not be eligible for screening to proactively address any physiological abnormalities before they become critical.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Julianna is a familiar face at the gym, solidcore, and can often be found hitting the street training for a marathon, Her first inaugural Boston Marathon in 2024 was a huge success and she is looking forward to running again in 2025. . Julianna’s dedication to both physical and mental well-being reflects a holistic approach to health.
